Bluetooth radios range depends on the device class:

The most commonly used radio used in mobile handsets is Class 2 and uses 2.5 mW of power. Bluetooth technology is designed to have very low power consumption. This is reinforced in the specification by allowing radios to be powered down when inactive

1 - Do you have a manual of your iBlue software interface?

2 - What's the difference between a coupon campaign and a regular campaign?
Coupon campaign: let you upload a zip file that contain a large number of files e.g. if we have 1000 files wanted to be distributed to 1000 mobile handset uniquely i.e. allow each person to take file different than the other ( each one take unique file) i.e. if I made a zip file contain 1000 files named 1.gif till 1000.gif and choose coupon campaign then the device will attempt to send for an example:  1.txt once if it was successfully received 1.txt will be automatically disallowed to be sent again, the next attempt will take only files from 2.txt till 1000.txt. Users used to use this feature to send serial coupons to make sure that each person get a unique coupon different than others and to make sure there is no repeated coupon sending.
To use this feature just upload a zip file contain the coupons.

3- How can I develop serial coupons?
Use any coupon generator to generate your coupons

4 - What is "Regular campaign" for?
Regular Bluetooth marketing campaign is another type of campaign that gives you the ability to upload any type of files, here you have the ability to send the file from 1 to 10 times to the same recipient handset (not recommended to sent your campaign more than 2 times per recipient -as this may be considered as a spam-) you can also set the maximum count of the successful hits of your campaign.

5 - What does the software do with tar, gz, and zip files?
This feature available in the coupon campaign, mentioned above in the previous questions. You will have to put all your coupons in one *.zip or *.tar or *.gz file then upload them in the machine

6 - Single quotes in some fields causes an error, why?
Kindly use alphanumeric only (A-Z & a-z & 1-9) to avoid problems

7 - How does the campaign treat multiple files?
Multiple files with one campaign will send with no defined behavioral.

8 - I don't see active/passive mode option. We want to let users connect on their own and download content in many cases, without content being automatically pushed to them. Is this possible? If so, how does that work?
This feature is not possible yet in your version and may be present in the future version

9 - Can the range of each campaign be adjusted? (We have seen this feature in some other products) ?
This feature is underdevelopment you will receive it for free after its release

10 - If the unit is not networked, how can a user make updates? Is there any client software in the case that a flash drive is used? if so, how can we see that?
There are 2 ways for updating the machine 1.through a cross over cable or 2.Through the internet so you have to connect the machine to a switch or something connecting it to the internet.

11 - There is a USB flash drive coming with the machine, what is this for?
The flash drive solution will let only reset the device. The iBlue LongArm full solution is shipped to clients with a USB flash drive. This is what you need to restore it to factory setting.

12 - How can I use the restore to factory setting flash drive USB?
Attach it to the iBlue LongArm device then restart the device.

13 - Can the user make updates via flash drive?
About the update the only safer way is the internet.

14 - What does the same device max count setting do?
The device max count to set a number of file to be sent for example if you set it to 500 and you have 1000 file only 500 files will be sent and the campaign will not send any file but the other campaign will continue sending the same example if you have 2 files and set maximum sent to 500 the number of sent will reach 500 and stop if you choose 0 the campaign will send without upper limit

15 - What does the maximum count setting do?
This question is repeated it's the same answer of this question Can I limit content push to certain number of sending i.e. (push 500 times for file.gif)

16 - Are there any file validations built in? File size limit? file type restrictions?
Yes coupon campaign can just accept uploaded files in these format (*.zip or *.tar or *.gz)
There is size file validation that does not accept files bigger than 50 Mb
the iBlue Bluetooth Marketing devices have a memory of approximately 400 MB free space.

17 - How does the software handle campaigns in the same time at the spot?
The machine loop on campaigns and execute them... in randomized order... all what concern you in this matter that you can put many types of campaigns with different setting and they will all work together

18 - Can the user connect to the content management interface via their handsets?
This is only available if your mobile handset supports WiFi, and at the same time your are connecting the Bluetooth marketing device with a WiFi switch. Here you can open the device interface and manage your campaigns

19 - What does the service status setting do?
This option will let you stop machine sending and restart it whenever you want... if you press off then save the whole campaigns will stop sending... but if you press on and save campaigns will start to send again. If you restarted the machine the campaigns will start its activity again.

20 - Can someone connect to the hardware through Bluetooth bypassing this web-based software?
No, this is not possible.

21 - Does the backup file contain all attached files as well?
Yes , backup file contain settings all files

22 - How does the update feature work?
Simply, connect your PC and YOUR Bluetooth marketing device to a switch and connect the switch to the internet, and make sure that you set the gateway IP correctly with your routers IP 'that's to make sure that the Bluetooth marketing machine is having an internet', then log to the web based interface then go to [settings] then [updates] then the device will check for update then if it find any online update a message will appear confirm if you want to update or not if so just click it and the device will update itself

23 - If the unit is shutdown, what do you do to start it up again?
Just press the power button

24 - The devices (hardware) can operate in stand-alone mode? We mean, can it run the campaign even if there is no internet connection for a period of time, for example? If it happens to have a connection black-out for three hours, after that period, when server gets to connect to the client again, all the statistics are updated to the server?
Yes this is true.

25 - What is the maximum count feature? It means that if we put 10, after 10 successful sends the system stops sending?
Yes this is right, and if you put 0 that means that the device will send unlimited numbers of times.
Same device max count: means that if we put 1, the file EXAMPLE.txt will be sent only once to the same device. But let us say that in another campaign we set the number 2, although the device "A" receives only once the EXAMPLE.txt file, it may receives twice the other file in the second campaign.
The second part is not correct; if you put 2 the device will receive the same file twice.
What means: (Must be one for group of files)? It means that if we upload three files in the same campaign the number set has to be 1?
When we upload more than one file to be sent in the same campaign, the system requires only one acceptance of the costumer to send all the files? Or for each of the files the system sends an invitation?

26 - How can we easily produce vCard Files? And vCalendar Files?
It is easily, search the internet with these keywords "create your vCard" and "create your vCalendar"

27 - The system does not accept Two Way Messaging, I mean, that the costumer sends a file from the mobile to the device?
Yes, our system does not support two ways messaging till this moment

Is it possible to design a different name for each hardware we have running? We mean the name of the device that will appear in the invitation to the mobile user? So for the device in a shopping center the name will be SHOP, and for the other device in a restaurant the name would be RESTAURANT?  I see in the first page the possibility to customize your device name, and it opens only one blank to fill, what seems that it would be the same name for all the devices...
Naming the Bluetooth marketing solutions feature is available in all our solutions as follow:

FAQ regarding any iBlue software CD (installation and activation)

1- What will our installation process be like if we have our own hardware? Will we have to preload the Operating System on our hardware or will you provide us the OS package along with your software?
We will provide you with the whole installation kit... you will get a CD/DVD/Flash and this will install the system package in each machine then the machine will connected to the internet to get the packages required from our servers, then you will be asked for username and password, then the machine will restart and you will get yourself an broadcasting units

2 - What language is this software written in? Does it use a database in the backend or folder/file structure?
This question will be answered if you are interested in purchasing the source code and I have no authorization to answer this question...  You have to sign some legal documents to know non user technical data

3 - is it possible to purchase the software (iBlue LongArm software only and iBlue Octupus software only) and download them by internet instead of waiting the arrival of the DVD?
yes,
but the Octopus server side suit will be installed by us on your server

4 - Do you have a presentation describing installation or manual?

6 - It looks for me that this single software solution would be the client software of the network package, is it right?
No, they are totally different.

7 -  After you develop the system to support more than one dongle (actually two: one must be for device finding and the other for content sending), is this is right?

FAQ regarding machine updating

1 - How would we, already clients, be updated? Will that have an extra cost?
They will be updated with no extra cost until version 2.0 -will be released within 9 months-

2 - Again please tell me how can I perform the update, for the iBlue LongArm and Extended Range?

1-connect the device to internet as shown on the image above

2-login to the iBlue LongArm web interface and configure the [LAN] setting based on your internet setting  i.e. make it just like your pc but only with different IP address (the last number after the dot)

3-Set your IP gateway to be the same as your router gateway

3 - Are there any planned upgrades for this software?
Upgrades are always available, but upgrades is different that update. As updates will carry enhancement of the machine performance and adding some features, but upgrades mean adding major functions and features, the upgrades will be for extra fees

1 - Do I have to pay for shipment of the software if I want to get it on a CD or DVD?
Yes you have

2 - Are the fees are paid once i.e. one-time-fees?

The partnership will be in the shape of (iBlue will be your branded solution vendor and support and you will be a separate entity that own a special branded Bluetooth marketing solution)

FAQ regarding the Bluetooth marketing network solution

1 - Do Octopus server suit come hosted on an online server? Or I have to get my hosting plan from a hosting provider company?
No, Octopus comes not hosted, so you got to have a server with a control panel, so that we can install the server side suit on your servers.

2 - What are the server's technical requirements?
- We will need a linux server (Ubuntu Server is recommended)
- Dedicated Server is a MUST !
- The Web server will run using a privileged user who can sudo to root without being asked for a password
- The java software will need root account privileges
